Save Time, Energy and Money with Artefill
Temporary injectable wrinkle fillers are made of different kinds of natural or synthetic materials that are broken down and eventually absorbed by your body. As a result, wrinkle correction is only temporary and you may need repeat injections several months after the initial treatment to maintain your wrinkle correction.
Artefill is a long lasting FDA approved filler with results lasting five to 10 years out.
Artefill is different. The unique microspheres are not absorbed by your body and work with your skin to produce collagen which provides the support your skin needs for natural, long lasting results.
The benefits of Artefill:
* treatments improve over the course of several months and stand the test of time.
*it has an excellent safety profile.
*treatments are completed during a simple, in-office procedure.
Artefill provides immediate results for wrinkle correction allowing you to return to your normal daily activities.

We invite you to come in anytime to purchase, meet our new staff members Debbie Hall, R.N. and Monica Stubblefield R.N. and enjoy appetizers and beverages.
Here’s some information about Juvederm if you are unfamiliar with its properties and cosmetic enhancement abilities.
Juvederm is one of the newest, “next generation” substances in cosmetic surgery known as “dermal fillers” or “injectable fillers.” Because more patients want quick procedures that show almost immediate results with little, or no, downtime, Juvederm has become extremely popular with consumers. Made of a natural substance known as hyaluronic acid, Juvederm is FDA approved and — like Restylane and Botox — is one of the fastest growing non-surgical aesthetic procedures in the United States.
Juvederm is often used to:
- Plump up folds that run from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth
- Fill in the prominent vertical wrinkles, (the “11s”) between the eyebrows
- Augment the hollows under the eyes
- Reduce the “Marionette lines,” the downturned creases at the corner of the mouth
- Scar correction
- Augment thin or aging lips
Hyaluronic acid is important because one of its chief functions in the human body is maintaining skin volume and hydration. In medicine, hyaluronic acid has been used to ease joint pain, treat wounds and in eye surgery. In was used for the first time in 1996 in Europe for facial tissue augmentation.

Did you know April is Rosacea Awareness Month?
Most of you may not know that April is Rosacea Awareness Month. In fact, even though 1 in 20 Americans have rosacea, most people with it don’t even realize they have it. Because you, a loved one, or a friend could develop rosacea, take a few minutes to learn a little about this common, yet barely known skin condition.
Rosacea by the numbers. It is estimated that rosacea affects more than 14 million Americans.1 It occurs most commonly in adults age 30 to 60.2 And 30% to 40% of patients with rosacea have a close relative with the condition.3 It tends to occur more often in women but more severely in men.2
Menopause is a red flag. Many menopausal women tend to think they have adult acne when they see red bumps and pimples. However, it is possible that it could be rosacea. In fact, hot flashes might cause the first appearance of rosacea, so visit a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis.
The sooner the better. People often delay treatment, thinking they have a temporary condition that will go away quickly, yet rosacea is reported to worsen with time—so the sooner treatment is started the better. If you have facial redness, acne-like pimples, flushing of the cheeks, nose, chin, and/or forehead, meet with your physician for a diagnosis and to discuss the prescription-based Rosaclear® System.
Avoid the aggravation. Prevent future flare-ups by avoiding things that can trigger rosacea. It might be helpful to keep a journal because everyone has different triggers. The most common ones include sun exposure, vigorous exercise, caffeine, stress, spicy food, excessive sugar and sweets, and alcohol.
Keep your chin up. According to a National Rosacea Society survey, nearly 70% of rosacea sufferers reported experiencing embarrassment and anxiety because of their condition. The Obagi Rosaclear System incorporates a therapeutic prescription component, as well as products that help calm your skin and minimize the visible redness and blotchiness associated with rosacea. Even better, it is a skin care regimen that is noncomedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores. This can make it easier for rosacea sufferers to face the world and it helps improve their quality of life.

Spring Into Beauty
Spring is only a few weeks away! And it’s never too early to start preparing your skin for those sunny warmer months. Winter takes a toll on everyone’s skin. To achieve that fresh spring look you will need to start adjusting your skincare routine now to prepare for the change in weather.
With more sun filled hours in the day, Spring is the time to switch your moisturizer. Heavy moisturizers work well in the winter months to prevent dry, cracked skin. At this time of year you should be looking for one that contains sunscreen (minimum SPF15) to help prevent sun damage and fine lines. We recommend a lighter moisturizer so you can easily apply makeup over it. If you’re unsure of which products to use, we invite you to schedule a skincare consultation with us. We can help customize a regimen for your specific skin type and address any issues you are concerned about.
Spring is big time of year for special events – Easter, Mother’s Day, communions and graduations. If you are considering having a cosmetic procedure, now is the time to put those plans in motion. Injectables like Botox and Artefill have little to no downtime and are an easy way for you to refresh your look for Spring. If you are considering something more invasive such as laser resurfacing you will need to factor in a couple of weeks for the consultation, prep, procedure and recovery time.
There are multiple options for getting your skin ready for the warmer months. We invite you to call or email us with any questions or to schedule a complimentary skin care consultation.
